About This Play
Harris' play takes audiences on a journey through war zones alongside a young women and two children she is trying to care for in the midst of the destruction. Through a series of interconnected vignettes set in different periods of conflict around the world, "The Wheel" offers a haunting perspective on difficult topics such as conflict, responsibilty, trauma and innocence.
My choice of a minimalistic yet weathered and visually striking set design creates an adaptable stage on which the players can conduct their journey, representing the continuity in the conflicts portrayed despite the changing time periods.
